Before & After Friday

With only four Fridays left in Mini House I decided I'd highlight four rooms in four weeks to show off some transformations during our short time here!  Note: when you live in a Mini House - four rooms pretty much covers it.

I'll kick off this series with the living room.  Yes ladies and gentleman when we came for our showing the Pool Hall / Living Room was quite a surprise.  This is the first thing we saw when we walked through the front door.

BEFORE

In addition to the pool table, please note the following:
  • Elaborate overhead, Brunswick pool lighting
  • The Orange / Peach accent wall on the left
  • Shiny denim drapes
View from the Dining Room

During our closing I said to the seller "Oh, you must like pool." His response, "Not really. I just don't know what else you would have done with that room."  Umm... let's just say the conversation ended there.

DURING
First Step: Painting the ceilings & walls

AFTER
Pool Hall turned Sass Living Room

This is an older photo from a few months back
Dorsey Dog = my little home decor accessory

Basically a fresh coat a paint, a new overhead fan/light, curtains, a cute little Dorsey Dog and well some FURNITURE can really do wonders for a spot in my opinion.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Hi,

I’m writing on behalf of the visual editor for HouseLogic.com to request your permission to use one of your photos on the site. The photo nicely illustrates a topic we’re writing about. HouseLogic, published by the National Association of Realtors®, covers home ownership-related topics.

Specifically, we’d like your permission to use the attached image of a poolroom that’s been converted into a living room in connection with our slideshow about formal living rooms that have been reinvented for other purposes. The image may also appear as a link back to that slideshow in such places as our email newsletter; social media, including Pinterest; marketing; companion site for REALTORS®; and web site home page. The use may require that we resize the image to fit the size constraints of our website.

We’re asking you to grant the National Association the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use the image as described above for as long as the topic is included on the HouseLogic site. We would include a credit to you in the caption accompanying the image in its primary location on HouseLogic. If you would like we could also link that credit to your website.

If you approve, please respond to this email confirming that you own the image rights, have the authority to grant to the National Association permission to use the image as described, and grant that permission. Please also let us know how you would prefer to be named in the credit. My deadline is Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 and I would need a response from you before then, if possible.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    Cathy Dodge, HouseLogic.com
